Forest & Keisha's Mission to Support a Cure for Sickle Cell Disease

"Sickle cell disease is a disease that parents can pass down to their children. It's not a black disease. It ultimately affects all of us as human beings on this planet. Generation Cures can help us find a cure. Wouldn't that be something to pass on to our children?"

For over a decade, Forest and Keisha Whitaker have made the welfare of children everywhere - in war-torn Uganda and here at home - their mission in life. Parents of four children themselves, they understand how vital pediatric research is for treating children who are already sick and for stopping others from getting sick. They believe in the Generation Cures mission to make it better for children around the world.
