What's Caduceus

It's an interactive adventure game that kids can play at Generation Cures. The game grows out of the Zebrafish story, and transports players into an ancient and mythical world of science and alchemy. As kids move forward in the game, they encounter scientific and medical puzzles and have a chance to explore the Zebrafish content more deeply. They also learn about the challenges facing modern-day medical researchers. Best of all, by solving the puzzles, they can actually raise funds for research at Children's Hospital.

The Caduceus Story

Alterica is a fantastic world of intrigue and innovation. Glistening cities float among the clouds, dirigibles crisscross the planet, and healers use a mix of science and magic to treat their patients. But when a deadly and unknown disease threatens to spread throughout the land, even the most powerful healers are stumped. As a student at the Alterican College of Alchemy, you find yourself sent by the Maesters to the lab of one of Alterica's finest researchers to help search for a cure. Although you are only a novice healer, your instincts are true. Soon, you are hot on the trail of the spreading virus.

As you venture beyond the protected walls of your laboratory in search of the cause of this deadly disease, you discover mysterious villages and cities. Mystical healers and incredible creatures challenge and guide you along the way. At each stop, you must solve a cryptic puzzle that tests your scientific knowledge and powers of alchemy. Each solution gets you closer to finding a cure for the plague spreading through Alterica.

And after you decipher each mystery, your Caduceus - the magical staff carried by all healers- will transform. As you rise in rank, the staff will magically acquire the snakes, wings, and sparkling jewel of the full Caduceus. Throughout your journey, you will meet unforgettable characters, form alliances with other players, and set your own course until you find the cure that will save Alterica.
